Daphne In a Pumpkin

I saw the cute idea on pinterest a long time ago to put a baby in a pumpkin and couldn't wait to have a kiddo to try it on. Daphne didn't quite agree with the concept. I mean, who wouldn't want to sit in a pumpkin?

She loved the pumpkin as an observer...

From the inside? That's an entirely different story. We (Grandpa Crandall, Aunt Natalie, Aunt Cami, and Mommy) all came instantly to her rescue in hopes to convince her that being in a pumpkin is fun! Our choice of coercion? A plastic turkey leg...yup, Daphne loves that thing. Haha.
Sweet Boston even tried to comfort her. He loved sitting in the pumpkin so I am sure her reaction was quite mind boggling:)
Next attempt at distraction? A pine cone...why not?!?

I guess the pine cone wasn't that tasty!

You should know better than to distract me from the problem at hand with a pine cone!

When then decided to try giving her real food...

Which worked for a second....

What about a toy?

Which captured this beauty!!!

Then she remembered where she was and had the thought: "EW, I am in a slimy pumpkin!"...
Stop torturing me!
Mommy finally saved the day and gave her a break by letting her do some acrobatic moves.

Her acrobatic moves were accompanied by some standing and spinning... in hopes to help her forget about the pumpkin. As soon as the giggles came, mommy decided to give it one last try.

Daphne wasn't fooled for a second. Too good of memory I guess:)

Last distraction attempt? Leaves = Success!!
(Oh and check out her cute toenails courtesy of Aunt Nat!)

Another Keeper!

Then this poor sad face returned and mommy decided she had tortured
Daphne enough for one day:)
