Wahoo. I am blogging about LAST fourth of July and it isn't quite THIS fourth of July yet. Lol. Glad I am just under a year behind. Haha. I can't believe how big Daphne is compared to a year ago! Cute girl:)
We started off the morning watching Layton City's parade. We had a great spot right by Cami's parent's house. Cami's family was there, Andrew, Cami and Boston, Dan's parents, Gabe, and my dad (my mom had to work). It was fun watching the boys trying to teach Boston and Daphne how to catch candy at a parade.
Me and my girl at the parade, she rocked those sunglasses. Funny that she still wears them upside down no matter how many times we tell her they are that way. She has her own sense of style:)
Our family at the parade
Daph learning how the parade wave works:)
After the parade, we hit up all the fun booths at the Layton Park. It was very hot out. We got a giant snow cone to share and well this girl was in HEAVEN. She had only had one snow cone before and she pretty much devoured it all by herself:)
Afterwards, we headed back home for naptime and then back out for fireworks. This year was my favorite for fireworks at Layton, thanks to Cami's family letting us in on the secret of how great it is to sit over in the Ed Kenly Amphitheater. My parents came and joined us and Cami's family. We had lots of fun playing games, eating treats, and visiting before the show began. They play patriotic music during the fireworks, which was great, and the location was so much better than anywhere else we have sat before. Definitely looking forward to going to that same spot again in a few weeks!
Daphne looking all adorable before the fireworks in her new chair. The picture on the left is definitely one of my favorites. Oh and she got to wear her cousin's 4th of July outfit from several years ago (They are almost 10 years apart) that her Aunt Kristen made. I loved having her wear it.
