7 Months

Daphne is officially 7 months as of September 27th! I can't believe I have a girl that is over halfway to being a year old! She is such fun and sure makes my heart happy. I love getting to spend my days with her.

Daphne got a little distracted while mommy was trying to capture a cute 7 month photo as shown below. Top Left to Right: There were doggies parking everywhere, grass to eat, silly faces to make, and an owl as a yummy treat. Bottom Left to Right: There were cameras to grab, spray bottles to enjoy (yes, this is Daphne's favorite toy in the whole wide world right now. One day she was playing with it and Dan teasingly gave the lever a little squeeze. Once Daphne realized that water squirted out of the bottle she can't get enough of the spray bottle and even sometimes successfully squeezes it herself!), and cute faces to make.

Some fun facts about Daphne during her 7th month of life:

Weight: 15 lbs 11 oz (27th percentile)
Height: 25 inches (17th percentile...the doc said she was 25.5 inches at her 6 month appointment but this seems more accurate. She wasn't too happy about being measured that time and I am pretty sure she squirmed her way into looking an inch longer.)
Head Circumference: ??? all I remember is that she is in the 11th percentile

She isn't sure what to think about laundry:)
Loves to sit up all by herself!

Gets tortured regularly by the family trying to capture
funny poses like this one with her Aunt Nat!

Has sticky fingers and boy do they get her in trouble! This particular scene proves just that when Daphne decided to help mommy with canning pears by flinging the glass bowl full of pears across the room. Yes, that would be glass and pear peels everywhere. Poor little girl was quite shook up from the loud crash!
LOVES to be carried around in a laundry
basket while helping mommy carry laundry
and all sorts of odds and ends up and
down 3 flights of stairs.
Regularly sports a fohawk (and rarely a binky
anymore I might add. I am actually surprised
to see one in her mouth.)

Haha...mommy overdid the fohawk a little this day.
Loves to sit on daddy's shoulders.

Loves to play with all her fun toys.
This particular picture is of Daphne and
I taking a break and playing with
her "new" toy from the DI. I finally took the
time to wash and scrub it for her and she was
so excited to be able to play with it!

Absolutely has a blast every time it's bath time.
Daphne loves to play with the stream
of water from the faucet. She would play
there all day long, despite the fact that
she is cold, naked, and there is no
hot water left. If only mommy could get
her work done from the bathroom while
 supervising.

Fell asleep on her Grandpa Crandall,
proof that he is officially off her
"Stranger Danger" list after his last visit,
especially since she has only fallen asleep
like this for Dan and I once. Cuddles
from this girl are quite rare but
priceless when they do occur!
Enjoyed a fun visit from her
Grandpa Crandall. When
he first arrived she was
quite fearful of him (couldn't
even have him look at her
without a sad, little meltdown)
but by the end of the weekend
they were best buds! Especially
after he was brave enough to
watch both her and her cousin,
Boston, at the same time!

Daphne is quite thrilled that she can now feed herself. She loves being so independent. She still prefers her bottle to be held by us though because that means her hands are free to play with toys are get into all sorts of trouble:)

Other than bath time, Daphne's favorite activity is playing in my sink. I really do need to figure out how to move our office into the bathroom. I would get a lot more work done that way!
Daphne had a fun lunch date with her Aunt Natalie. She got her toes painted and went down a slide for the very fist time.

- Learned how to Spit, blows raspberries, and stick out her tongue. She learned how to blow raspberries while we were at Red Robin and was quite entertaining for all those passing by.

- Got rid of her bald spot only for it to return again from all the rolling she does.
- Eats bananas, apples, peaches, peas, sweet potatoes, and carrots. She also tried Chicken for the first time and wasn't too fond of it.

-Went to Swiss Days

-Loves eating frozen bananas in her mesh bag

-Worked out on the elliptical with mommy. Daphne had a blast. Mom burned a lot of calories and was ready for a nap afterwards.

- Watches T.V. for about 10 second increments. When we need Daphne to stay entertained for a minute or two, the bath tub or sink are much better options.

-Favorite toy: spray bottle (as mentioned above)

-Is officially banned from using her Bumbo. Front flips out of the Bumbo are just a little out of our comfort zone:)

- Makes the funniest low growly noises that almost sound like she is dying or something similar.

- Has started to boycott her bottle thanks to her reflux and teething. We are working hard to convince her otherwise! Our goal is 18-20 oz each day. She eats solids 3 times a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)

- Has a mole by her left knee that just appeared within the last few weeks.

-Wears size 2 diapers and mostly 0-3 and some 3-6 month clothes (Her entire outfit in her 7 month shot at the top is a 0-3 month outfit). I am happy that many of her outfits are getting good use! All her long sleeves and pants in size 0-3 will get a chance to be worn now this fall.

- And last but not least, she almost has her first tooth! It is starting to poke through her gums.
